November 6, 2018Apteriors welcomes new Interior Designer

Over a busy summer working on some particularly exciting projects (watch this space!) we’ve also been on the lookout for an Interior Designer to join our growing team.
With ambitious plans for the future, we’ve been meticulously handpicking staff to join the team because we fully understand that our company and our future projects will only be as good as our people. We’re keen to keep pushing ourselves with new ideas and techniques, so selecting the right people for the Design Team is particularly key.
That said, we’re excited to have Jack Charlton join our ranks!
Recently we caught up with Jack to talk a little about his background and his views on the future.
Welcome, Jack! Why don’t you start with telling us a little about your background?
Sure! I was born in Southampton but lived in Luxembourg with my parents and sister since 2001. I left Luxembourg for University in the UK, but still go back and visit my family as much as possible. I studied Architecture (Part 1) at Nottingham Trent University, following which I joined Pozzoni Architecture in Manchester. After a year out living and working in Madrid, it was back to the UK once more – this time: London. I joined The Office Group as Space Planner, responsible for all current and future projects. It was a varied role, which definitely kept me busy.
And here we are! What attracted you to Apteriors?
Having gained experience in design for leisure, commercial, education and residential projects with Pozzoni Architects and shared-workspace and office experience with The Office Group, I was looking for a role that would allow me to draw on this experience and my education, while pushing me to keep learning. Ideally within a team that was growing. I like the idea of us growing together, pushing each other to be the best we can be.
We agree, it’s important to keep evolving, which is why we’re excited to add your ideas to our mix! Tell us more about what you’ve been working on since you started.
Initially, my main focus is providing Revit support and growing our BIM-ready library, as well as some of our processes associated with this part of the business. Gradually, I am also integrating with the rest of the Design Team on existing projects and ultimately, I’ll start taking the lead on projects too. All in due course.
So far so good?
To be honest, I couldn’t have hoped for a more welcoming first few weeks. The atmosphere and morale in the office is wholly encouraging and I’ve been made to feel very at home straight away. The team value my ideas and insights, although I’m still very new, and I’m always encouraged to voice my opinion. Together, we arrive at the best solution creatively – but also one that fits the clients’ long-term needs, budget and timelines.
Excellent - glad to hear it! And where do we go from here?
Onwards and upwards. I feel Apteriors’ desires and hopes match my own, we’ve got some exciting projects in the pipeline and the future is most definitely exciting. I’m looking forward to seeing us achieve our ambitions and making a Apteriors a market leader.
