The company & the role:
We are a fast expanding design consultancy with offices in Wimbledon (SW London) that handles educational, residential, Hospitality and Commercial projects across the UK. Thanks to a growing portfolio of projects, we are looking for a self-motivated Interior Designer, who is able to work on their own initiative, to join our Design team.

 

With good technical and space planning skills you will be required to produce 3D & 2D plans for our interior design projects, providing a competent level of AutoCAD and BIM modelling in Revit.

Must have:

  • Literacy in Excel (MS Office)
  • 12 months’ + experience working with Revit & AutoCAD
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management and organisational skills

Nice to have (but not essential):

  • Knowledge of UK Furniture suppliers
  • Experience working on large Construction / Education projects
  • Literacy in Adobe Photoshop & InDesign

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creating/expanding our library of products in AutoCAD and Revit (2D & 3D) and product books
  • Space planning
  • Co-ordinating schedules and drawings through Revit Architecture & AutoCAD
  • To undertake general Revit / AutoCAD tasks building sheets, maintaining schedules, dealing with space planning and amendments
  • Transferring projects and information from AutoCAD to Revit
  • Creating and drafting sheets for clients
  • Resolving design related problems and flagging up clashes
  • To undertake training as you work
  • Produce 3D / 2D Block Libraries within AutoCAD and Revit
  • Produce coordinated product books and schedules
  • Produce product Presentations and marketing material
  • Future Progression into a project manager running projects

Mike Valentini

DESIGNER

After a BA in Industrial Design at IUAV University of Venice, followed by an MA in Design at the Linnéuniversitetet in Växjö, Sweden, Mike gained experience in Italy, prior to moving to London. Before joining Apteriors, he worked as an interior design at IPT Architects, focusing on modular construction and particularly its sustainability.

Since joining our team, Mike has been part of the key team working on gaining our BIM Level 2 Certification. He has also worked closely with the rest of the design team and our suppliers, focusing mainly on educational & commercial spaces.
