Part of the Tauheedul Education Trust, Eden Boys’ School in Bolton is a progressive, inclusive and outward-looking faith-based (Islamic) secondary school for boys. Specialising in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Eden Boys’ takes a personalised approach, ensuring each student has a set of aspirational, but achievable targets and a school, which helps them realise these goals. The School needs to cater for the increasing number of students, as they move through the education system, with a plan to host 500 11-16 year olds in 2017 and a further 200 sixth form students in 2018.
With this ambitious growth plan in mind, Apteriors were brought thanks to their expertise in similar projects in the educational sector, specifically in providing fit for purpose specialised teaching spaces for increasing numbers of students.
Apteriors successfully delivered a mixture of exciting new spaces, including state-of-the-art Design and technology specialist Lab, Dining hall, sports hall & MUGA. Liaising closely with all parties involved, Apteriors were able to deliver a project – the second of 11 schemes Apteriors are set to deliver for the Tauheedul Education Trust – which matches Eden Boys’ focus on keeping their students grounded – understanding their responsibilities and the important role they have in improving their communities.
