Situated on the Old Vinyl Factory site in Hayes, Global Academy was one of the ‘must watch’ projects of the last year. The brainchild of Global (a media and entertainment giant) and sponsored by University of the Arts London, the School will have its students focus not only on achieving GCSE and A Level qualifications, but also learning hands-on skills needed to work in the broadcast and digital media industries.
Ahead of 200 students joined when the School opened its doors in September 2016 (with 800 more students due to join shortly after), Apteriors were employed for planning, design, Procurement and furniture installation services for the entire Academy.
Thanks to their status as an independent FF&E Consultant, Apteriors were able to provide the School with top-of-the-range specialist equipment for science labs, classrooms, break out spaces, specialist media teaching spaces and more, on time and at a cost, which made this high specification furniture accessible on the School’s budget.
