OVERVIEW

The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) new block comprised of Food Rooms, DT Workshops, DT Graphics, Art Rooms, and Business Studies classrooms on the ground floor and Science Labs and Music Rooms on the first floor. With years of experience in specialist rooms, we were delighted to provide all new fixed furniture for this block and loose science tables and stools for the science labs.

THE BRIEF AND DELIVERY

Supporting Reds10 in their delivery of this new school, we were also part of the delivery of the FF&E for the temporary accommodation provided to allow seamless education for the students and teachers as they waited for the finished building to be completed.

The temporary accommodation included a Food Room, Science Labs, a Business/ICT Suite, a Music Classroom, and Staff Workrooms. To help meet budgetary targets, our brief focused on retaining and upgrading existing fitted furniture wherever possible. Through a comprehensive legacy survey and detailed consultation, we identified opportunities to reuse and supplement existing furniture with new items where appropriate, supporting both sustainability and cost efficiency.

We were also pleased to have supported the re-use of much of the furniture into the new block upon building completion.
