Sarah Jeffries Team GB Triathlon Athlete sponsored by Apteriors

Proudly sponsored by Apteriors, Sarah Jeffries raced the Sprint Triathlon, representing Great Britain at the European Triathlon event in Vichy, France, on 20 September. This event comprises of a 750m swim in open water, a 20k bike and 5k run to finish. Sarah competes in the 60-64 age group category but she is not a life long triathlete, she actually only began competing regularly after lock down…

Vichy is our first race together where we are officially sponsoring Sarah and we were on the edge of our seats. Her last competition in Hamburg saw her reach 24th place and it was her focus in Vichy to improve on this.

Sarah faced an unfortunate challenge during the race with a niggling injury in her foot. However, she gave her absolute all and was able to beat her last placement by 7 places, achieving 17th overall in her group. We are so very proud of Sarah and her determination and especially working through what turned out to be significant damage to her heel, not allowing her to fully place her foot down throughout the race. Her success is a testament to Sarah’s grit and determination.

This is just the beginning of our journey together and we are excited to watch as she progresses next season.
